Tall Projects

Animation can transform your digital presence, making it more captivating, engaging and memorable. Jolt recently collaborated with our friend, Ed Kay, from Tall Projects, to produce a series of animated loops to bring his site to life.

Ed was in the process of redesigning the Tall Projects website when he approached us with a specific goal in mind – he wanted to infuse some fun and creativity into the user experience. We worked to find a solution that would make the website stand out without compromising on speed and performance.

We selected Lottie, which uses JSON to deliver high-quality, vector animations. Lottie file sizes can be very small, typically just a few KB, and they run at a high frame rate, ensuring a smooth and visually pleasing experience. These Lottie-powered animations would sit on the Tall Projects homepage and act as visual anchors to encourage people to read each section on the copy.

We settled on a series of designs that reflected Ed’s process-driven approach to app integration and combined it with a cute Kawaii aesthetic to help inject a sense of fun into what can sometimes be perceived as a dry subject.
