Lightbringer

Motion design

We developed a set of motion graphics for Lightbringer to grab people’s attention on the web and across social platforms. Working with the logo and brand guidelines established by Andrea at Beehive Green, we added movement and character to the brand elements.

This project demonstrates how motion design can extend the impact of a static identity, especially across digital platforms. It’s about adding movement where it matters and helping brands communicate more clearly, more consistently, and with a bit more feeling.

The brief was to develop a motion language that could support social content, enhance the brand’s web presence, and energise the overall toolkit. With a full set of brand guidelines, including logo, colours, type and photography, the job became about interpretation: finding the right kind of movement to suit the tone and rhythm of the design system.

At the centre of the identity was a distinctive logotype, with rays of light radiating from the letter L. That detail became the heart of the animation. For the main logo animation, we wanted a sense of revelation, making it feel digital whilst retaining some humanity. It’s a simple idea, but it gives the brand a sense of pace and presence.

The animations were delivered as short video loops for web and social use, designed to feel purposeful and lightweight.

When done well, motion design adds clarity and depth to a brand identity. It can guide the eye, introduce tone, and make a message more memorable, without shouting. For brand designers, agencies and marketing teams looking to extend their toolkit, it’s a practical layer that helps visual systems feel more human and more alive.
