Child Bereavement UK

Grief will affect almost everyone at some point in their life. It can be a difficult time and many people don’t know what to expect. Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We have made several animations for CBUK in the past aimed at children. However, with this animation, we were asked to create something for children who have lost a parent and adults who have lost a child. We worked with the CBUK team to develop a script that will be relevant to a wide audience.

We wanted the visual style to be similar to previous animations but to feel a little more grown-up. It was important to show a diverse set of people in a broad spectrum of situations as they experienced grief.

The animation has been created for the CBUK website and social media, as well as being an educational resource for counsellors working with bereaved families.
